I’m so grateful for my friends who helped me plan my trip to Japan by sharing with me their itineraries. The below is a post from my beloved friend Lina who went to Tokyo and have generously shares some of her best finds complete with pictures. Lina’s itinerary is unique. She devours everything kawaiii (that including desserts and a lot of it) and not so touristy stuff so here is a short and simple kawaiii guide to Tokyo. Thanks Lina @linamiiko for sharing.
1. Toshi Yoroizuka Roponggi Midtown
Toshi Yoroizuka is specialized in Dessert and sweets.

2. Clinton Street Baking Company
Originated from the US, this café has already earned its reputation for the yummy stack of pancakes.

3. Tolo coffee & Bakery
Cute slightly hidden house turned bakery selling some of the cutest looking desserts.

4. Havaro – Tokyo Street
This joint sells beautiful jelly with edible flowers component.

Asakusa
5. Clover Café Asakusa
Direction: Try to find exit A4 then just turn right. Walk slowly, the café is on the left side. Clover Café is a small café selling chiffon cake with various flavours. In frame is Earl Grey chiffon cake, a cappuccino and a croissant.

Ueno
6. Danish Panda
This is located at e-cute side. You have to hold a JR line train ticket in order to buy and stroll around the station.

7. Croissant Taiyaki
As to Danish Panda, you can get this from e-cute JR lines.
Ginza
8. Quil Fait Bon – Ginza
Stop by Quil Fait Bon when in Ginza for their pound cake and honey pie. If you want to sit and enjoy the fruit pie, just go a little forward, there’s a restaurant on the lower ground, one building difference from the take away only stall.
Direction: Ginza-itchome=walk->detour café-> turn right.

9. Kihachi Restaurant
Aoyama Itchome (Ginza Line) = exit 5, elevator up, icho namiki (gink avenue), royal garden café. Gaienmae St = Down Hallway, elevator up, crosswalk, turn left.

10. Manneken Waffle

11. Me+
Me+ in Tokyo Station has a lot of food stalls. One of them is Havaro, jelly with edible flowers. Daimaru is just next to it.
Harajuku
12. Alta, Harajuku
Alta is a new department store in Harajuku. You can find Disney store here and a restaurant for smoothies and pancake on the third floor.

13. Café – The Sun Lives Here Shibuya
This is one of the café to try in Shibuya.

Muji Café in Shibuya is a must try. This set of meal only cost 1400Y and it is a very satisfying portion.

15. Ometesando – Aoyama Flower Market
Aoyama Flower Market is a café slash a beautiful tea house where they serve edible flower. Other than the food, the ambiance here is unique like none other.

Shinjuku
16. Romantei Shinjuku Gyoen
One of the café to try in Shinjuku

1. Yuzawaya Fabric Store – Shinjuku
If you are crafty (hands up) you’d love to check out Yuzawaya at the eleventh floor of Takashimaya Square, Shinjuku. Here they sell fabric, all sewing and crafts need.

2. Tokyu Hands – Shinjuku

Kawaii Accomodation
1. Garden Hotel Ueno
Rate: $185
Not the most budget friendly, for 18000 Y a night you can stay at Sakura Panda room. The entire bedroom is covered with panda theme and many photo-worthy corners.

2. Tokyu Stay – Simbashi
Rate: $175
Tokyu Stay in Simbashi is a great base to explore Tokyo. They have put the extra mile providing washing machine in the bedroom that doubles as clothes dryer.
